@Bizquick this thread is going down hill fast. You need to take a second and read some information. No Dell perc raid card, no raid0, no dual purpose nas, don't turn it on only when needed and don't use incomparable parts.

well I dont have the raid turned on. and the card passes smart info when I have it set this way At least I have that part checked on in the raid bios setup.
So I dont see an issue with it.

Didn't you start asking questions because you were having problems? You don't have to listen to the voices of experience. Do what you want. Just be sure to blame your own choices when you get poor performance.
