Hi Everyone

I am looking at upgrading my home lab to 10GB Networking, and I am running into issues with TrueNAS Scale working correctly
I did already purchase an Intel X520-DA2 SFP+ NIC but upon further research and testing, it appears to be a fake as TrueNAS Scale does not see the card
and there is no YottaMark present on the card.

I was wondering if you guys could look over this list and see if you can spot anything that would be a red flag?

My current setup specs are
OS, TrueNAS Scale Buefin 22.12.3.3
Hardware
Chassis: Dell PowerEdge R720XD
CPU: 1 x Intel Xeon E5-2650 V2
RAM: 64GB (4x16GB) PC3-14900R 2Rx4 ECC
Hard Drives: 12 x 6TB 7.2K Dell SAS Drives in Raid Z3
NIC: Dell Broadcom 5720 Quad port
Power Supply: 2 x 750W HS 80+

More geared to HBAs:

The card in the link you posted seems authentic.
I trust you understand you don't have enough drives and memory to saturate a 10Gbps network.

Hi Davvo

Thank you for your reply,
Yes I am aware I don’t have enough drives or memory to saturate a 10GB Nic at the moment
My network is being upgraded for other external hardware and i thought depending on the price I may as well upgrade my TrueNAS connection as well

Just make sure you are connecting your drives to a proper HBA in IT mode.

Hi Davvo

Thank you for the heads up, my drives are currently connected to a H710p flashed to IT mode so I should be all good on that front

Cheers
