Does the system prune the email alerts at a certain point or can I edit a file manually?

I've been notified about these numerous times, have fixed the issues and would rather not see them again. Maybe repeat for a day or so, but 9 days later about the battery I replaced???

The rest are known drive failures due to intentional testing/drive swaps.

Thanks,

You did not say which FreeNAS version you are running, you may need to file a bug report.
Before doing that though, perform a search and see if this is a known issue for your version
and if it has been addressed with an update.
I'm guessing here, but is the battery you mentioned happen to be on a RAID card?
If the answer is yes, the card you are using may not be appropriate for FreeNAS.

FreeNAS 11.

Yes, it's a [i know - not recommended] Dell/LSI H700 just for testing at the moment and planning for the future.

Thanks!

I have no experience with those cards, but boot in to the card's config utility
and go in there and see if you can disable the warning?

If it's bugging you really bad :mad::mad:
The only other thing you can do is turn off email notifications in FreeNAS.

P.S. Some times those cards will need to have the power totally shut off
to retain changes, try powering down your FreeNAS and uplugging the
whole machine, wait a couple of minutes and fire it back up... The card
may then register that the battery is good and stfu.:D

I've rebooted, but haven't fully powered down yet. I think the raid card is fine, it's just freenas holding onto the alert history. Maybe.

will poke around some more.

Thanks!
