This is my third time rebuilding my server after some hardware failures. I have 18TB raid 5 storage that should have all the data on them from before. I have imported the data and now when I go to add the jail I'm unsure where to point the root to. When I browse the files are as follows:
mnt
>mediastorage
>>Plexserver
>>>media
>>>plexuser
>>>guest
>>>plex
>>PlexonFreenas
>>Pluginjails
>>>plexmediaserver_1

Under plex and plexmediaserver_1 there are a bunch of standard folders. I don't know what I did when I installed the second time but I'm not sure if I ever setup FreeNAS properly in the first place. I used to have a problem with windows not being able to see the connection but the GUI would still work, after a while the GUI would stop working and I would have to hard reboot the system to get it to work. I would love some hand holding to make sure I have this setup correctly but that may be too much to ask.

Thank you all for your help.

Do you have a backup copy of your config file?

If this is a new jail/plugin and you aren't migrating a config, the mount point can be anywhere you want. I use /mnt/media/videos.

Thanks! I have now created the jail and found all the media and adding it to plex. However I have found a new problem. I'm running win 10 on my main pc and I cannot see the NAS in my network. I can use the GUI and I can see plex and use that. I can also ping the NAS but I can't see any folders to transfer anything to it.

Map a network drive in Windows. This is the most reliable way.

Well I finally figured it out. After playing with permissions for a few hours I finally created a user with my name and no password and choose the Microsoft account box. Then I turned off the guest access boxes on the CIF. Then when I went to my network share I saw a FREENAS location and when I clicked on it it asked for a user name and password so I typed in the user and no password and it worked.

Thanks everyone for all your help.
