proftpd.log File missing

i miss the file /var/log/proftpd/proftpd.log. The folder exists but where are the proftpd logs written to?
The FTP service is activated and works, but without logs I don't want to use it.

Do I still have to activate something I missed?

Can someone give me a hint?
