Product confusion

Pardon my confusion, but I'm new to this. I downloaded TrueNAS core (TrueNAS-13.0-U6.1.iso). I just finished installing it, but on my dashboard, it shows that the version is TrueNAS-SCALE-22.12.2

Is the wrong product listed, because I was trying to install TrueNAS core, not scale?

What's the SHA256 for the ISO you downloaded? Do you have a screenshot of your system?

I have no idea what a SHA256 is or how to find it.

I found this listed as the SHA256 on the website for the file:

The whole point of it is that you calculate it for your copy, to see if it matches what's published. If you're on Windows, even 7-Zip will do that for you from the right-click context menu.

So, if the TrueNAS core download is actually TrueNAS Scale, then how do I get TrueNAS core?

You are not following what I'm saying. I went to the links to download SCALE, and it downloaded SCALE. I asked for CORE, it gave me CORE.

All I can think of is you selected the wrong version by accident.

Thank you for the responses. I guess I'm not sure where to find TrueNAS Core then. I can't figure out what I'm doing wrong.

When I click on this "Download" button, I get the file: TrueNAS-13.0-U6.1.iso

which installs TrueNAS Scale, not TrueNAS Core.

Can you tell me where you are finding TrueNAS Core?

Would you mind showing us a screen capture of the SCALE version you have running? A capture of the console screen is good enough.

Likewise. And what I download matches the posted SHA256 checksum of d9253188c1762c2a7eceea417922f339c4e4078967eb048d2dfcbfdbc4dccb3e.

which installs TrueNAS Scale, not TrueNAS Core.

Not here:

The download page is serving the correct .iso. The only things I can think of are either:

• You mistakenly burned the wrong .iso to the USB stick you used to install, or
• You'd previously installed SCALE to a different boot device, and you're still booting from that rather than the device you installed CORE to.

I did the same thing last night before the fireworks started, downloaded and installed, all was correct on my end as well.
