Printer can no longer send scans to smb shares

Our Cannon imageCLASS MF726 printer was able to send scans to a SMB scan folder perfectly until recently. Now the printer gives a "permissions or access the folder/file" type error.

Changes to freeNAS include the update to 11.3.2 and setting up SSL certs. I am using the same user/password as before and these credentials are good when used from a windows pc. From a pc, I changed permission on the scan folder to full access for everyone but this did not change anything. I have searched these forums and nothing I have found seems to relate.

Any help in troubleshooting this would be greatly appreciated.

Let me guess. The printer can only connect to SMB1 shares. This was disabled for security reasons in 11.3-U3.2. See https://www.ixsystems.com/documentation/freenas/11.3-U3.2/sharing.html?highlight=smb1.

NO, I have enabled SMB1 under services, as well toggling NTVNv1. I should have mentioned this above, as I have read the docs and all of the posts related to this.
