I own a FREENAS-MINI-2.0 unit. Previous versions of FreeNAS would show the model information in the dashboard. However, 11.3 show Platform: Generic

Does anyone know why this is happening?

Yes, an interesting development. Platform appears to be a new field.

e.g. under 11.2

Under 11.3, Processor details are in the CPU panel, Memory details in the Memory panel on the dashboard. There's a lot more useful visual information included with each. I'm curious to see how the Platform field will be used. There's a hint in the user documentation here.

EDIT: I wonder if Platform is relevant to the FreeNAS and TrueNAS unification i.e. used to differentiate between TrueNAS CORE and Enterprise? FreeNAS and TrueNAS Unification Blog & Discussion

Same question from my end! Noticed my platform says "Generic", screenshot attached to confirm. Just noticed and am curious. :)
