Installed latest version this morning specs below:
LSI SAS9211-8i Firmware is 20.0.0.7.0 in IT mode
2x 4tb hgst/constellation sas 6gb
Boot is a USB 16gb on the Inside port(temp till I get it working)
48gb of ECC ram
dual xeon 5677
Issue I am having is that I can not see the drives in Storage/disks(actually it pulls no drives and just spins constantly) sitting on the screen for over an hour. Or When I try to create a Pool. I can see the drives and controller in shell using the dmesg | grep mps command.

The server was originally loaded with Centos on one drive, I have since deleted the partitions and created new NTFS partitions(if wrong say so). I tried to load it with both the drives as raw and with an OS and NTFS

If the Issue is it being on a USB drive then I can pull it and reinstall and test. This is a clean install and I am not worried about loosing data as there is none loaded.
I also know that the zfs will not like just the two drives, I am just trying to get it to work and have more coming.

I have looked for the for a few hours on both here and youtube and cant seem to find a similar problem and I am out of ideas.
I can grab screen shots on request.

I am right at this moment Installing to one of the 4tb sas drives. Installer sees both drives at every install as a Side note.

Much as I hate to say it - I am having difficulty I am having difficulty trying to figure out what you are doing, what you are asking. Your information above seems fragmented and incomplete.
This is probably why there has been no response

Yea, Its a hot Mess, let me Summarize here

Installed Latest version of truenas on a 16gb USB drive on the internal usb port of the 710, Booted up and and pulled up the UI, went to create a pool. No drives were showing up. I went to the Disks sub-menu to see if the drives populated here. The Disks menu did not load, it just had the loading circle and I let it sit for a good 30 minutes. I can see both drives in Bios as well in the LSI Sas controller and they listed as install options as da0,1. Rebooted several times to troubleshoot as well as going to shell and running the dmesg | grep mps which showed the drives there. I then pulled the boot usb and installed it to da0 after install finished and reboot it did not load. I popped the boot usb and back in and booted it up. Now the Drives show up and I was able to create a pool.

No clue what caused the drives not to register in it, then suddenly letting it work.
