Potentially dumb question about "Tasks"

After updating I noticed that my "Periodic Snapshot" tasks are missing.

Is this an expected behavior?

I have a backup, so I'm not super concerned but just want to clarify that I'll need to use a backup with any future updates.

Which version did you update from and to?

I am on the 'release' train. So it was from whatever was before the 11.2.

I think it was 11.1-U4, I can't remember for sure.
