I have my boot disk mirrored. Boot drives are both 60GB Intel SSD drives. Since November last year, my disks have been going offline in Truenas every few days/weeks with errors during writes. I suspect the issue is caused by the fact I have the disks set to turn off after 10 minutes. I think there might be an issue waking the disks back up. I have replaced my disks with the same model drives that were my spares, same issues. I’ve replaced sata cables as well, still same issue. I just turned off the sleep function for my boot disks in Truenas. I’m running latest Truenas core, typically upgrade shortly after a new release comes out. I have a feeling this is a bug in Truenas. I’ve noticed others have been posting on Reddit with the same errors. Typically a poll timeout on the drive followed by collectd errors.
Boot drives are connected directly to sata ports on my motherboard.
I’ve had this Truenas setup for more than 4 years.
