ports out of date freenas 11.1

I've want to try logitechmediaserver have created a new version 11.1 jail

Used portsnap fetch extract

but when I try and make install clean get the following error.
any ideas ?

What is the output of freebsd-version from within the jail?

That's your problem. You likely created the jail from the legacy GUI. If you want to run an up to date jail you'll have to do it via iocage and the cli.

thanks have it installing now in an iocage jail feels a bit like a work around guess the real solution is an os upgrade

Only if you like running beta software. iocage works pretty well from the command line, though you might need to work around some networking issues as you get started. Once those are sorted, though, you should be good to go.
