I'm in the process to upgrade my pool from 5x3TB to 5x4TB.
I wonder if it is better to grow the pool by replacing one drive at a time and resilver. I've done that before without issue.
I wonder if it is better to replicate the old pool to the new pool. Remove old pool. Rename new pool to the same as old pool. I have plenty of sata ports available. I've done that before without issue too.
What would be faster ? Trouble free ? Your opinion ? Thanks!

I think the fastest would be replication. However,I am curious if it would make sense to add the 5x4TB as a stripe so that you have 2 vdevs for your volume.

Finally decided to grow pool by switching drives one by one. Easy. Each drive took a bit less than 4 hours. Love FreeNAS!
