Pool Degraded

Hi all, I built a new NAS, picked up 4 Ironwolf Pro drives from Adorama, and less than a week running the pool just gave me a degraded message. Could a new hard drive be shot already?

New drives can be more likely to fail than medium aged ones. So, yes, it could definitely be shot already.

For new drives is always recommended burn-in, so have you? Here's the one I use: Spearfoot disk burn-in

Thanks for the information. I returned the drives; 300-dollar drives dead so early on was disappointing. I gave up on my build for now.

This could also be the controller card or the SATA/SAS cables.
Just so you know if you continue to have problems after you eventually replace the drive(s).
