Sorry but after an absence for some time (and only ever a beginner before that) I've just got my FreeNAS all hooked up again,
and am getting a 'Pool Degraded' error.

Using FreeNAS 11.3 with 6 x 3Tb in RAIDZ2

The GUI is showing:

ada0 boot ssd

Pool Aventine
ada1 3TB HDD
ada2 3TB HDD
ada3 3TB HDD
ada4 3TB HDD
ada5 3TB HDD

So.. the 'degraded' is undoubtedly linked to the fact that an HDD is 'missing' in action.

I have checked the power and sata cables to each drive and all are plugged in, properly.

Oh and all drives have been working properly in the (year ago or so?) past with no pool degraded issue.

But where to start? All help appreciated - thanks :)

In 'View Disks', you'll see the serial numbers for the disks the system sees. By process of elimination, you can determine which of your six disks the system isn't seeing. See if there's a loose cable, or check the manual about replacing disks.
