Hi all,
I have installed a Ubuntu 16.04 VM in my FreeNAS 11 RC3. The host is using ZFS RAIDZ1 setting with 2 disks.
The local network is using CAT 6 cables with giga switch.
The samba service has been activated in Ubuntu VM. I used another Win7 PC with i3 CPU to copy a 7GB file to Ubuntu VM and
use system manager in win 7 to monitor network throughput.
And the result is not good in attached file.
It is not stable so I can tell the throughput to write to Ubuntu VM is also not good.
I also tried to change VM disk from VirtoIO to AHCP, and it is alomost the same.
If I use host machine(FreeNAS 11 RC) with samba service to do the same test, it is quiet good and the throughput is almost 1xx MB/s.
Does anyone know the root cause?
Or the VM performance is poor and nothing I can do?
