Plex transcoder fails with signal 4 - Trailers ONLY

I get the following error when I try to transcode trailers only. Normal transcoding works fine.

kernel: pid xxxxx (Plex Transcoder), uid yyy: exited on signal 4

Plex is installed in a jail. I installed it by hand and use the pms_updater.sh script to manage updates.
I've placed the transcoding in its own dataset and copied the permissions.

The jail is FreeBSD 10.3-RELEASE.

Plex version 1.9.2.4285

16GB RAM
