Hello all, just received the email from Plex about account breach so I changed my password and clicked sign out of all devices. Now I can no longer see or access my Plex service.

I am running Plex in a Jail on FreeBSD (TrueNAS). I have tried going to the IP:32400 and I am logged in but I do not see my server. How do I update the credentials/password to get back into Plex? Hoping I can ssh into the Jail and change edit some config file that might have the old password information.

Running TrueNAS 120-U8.1 with Plex in Jail 12.2-RELEASE-p6

Login to http://<IP of your Plex server>:32400/web using your Plex login. Then navigate to General. By the server, there will be a button to claim this server under your Plex login. Click the button to claim (i.e., add the server as an authorized device), which will update the server with the new login credentials. Now restart the Plex jail; this will force the server to try logging in on restart. Once it logs in successfully, it will appear as one of your Authorized Devices.

I have logged into http://<IP of your Plex server>:32400/web using my Plex login with the updated password and what below is all I see. I dont see any option to claim the server as an authorized device. I have restarted the jail a few times but no change. Plex was working perfectly this morning right up until I changed the password and clicked Sign Out of connected devices.

Click on authorized devices to remove your server. Also click Remove server under PLEX-iOCage. Restart the jail, and login to http://<IP of your Plex server>:32400/web again.

Okay Strange enough, I have been logging in through Chrome and no luck but I tried Edge and now I was presented with the Claim Server option which was not being shown to me in Chrome. Not idea why but it worked and I am connected back to the server now.

I'm having the same problem. I followed the instructions above (Removed server from Authorized Devices, restarted Jail, Logged back in at http://<Jail IP>:32400/web) but no luck (I've done this several times now). There is no option in the Plex settings to 'claim' the server (server doesn't even show up in the list anymore). Is there another way to re-authenticate the server? Thanks.

Version: 1.28.1.6092
Plugin: plexmediaserver
Release: 13.0-RELEASE-p13

I think I figured it out. My Plex server is in a different subnet than my desktop. In order to get to the local server's General settings and see the 'Claim' option, I had to access http://<Jail IP>:32400/web from a PC on the same subnet.

Yes, I wasted an hour or so this morning because I don't have a flat network. You'll need to ensure whatever system your browsing to the Plex web from is on the same subnet or you won't be able to claim your server.
