Plex install cheat?

Is it mandatory to create a dataset and userid just for Plex? Since my FreeNAS server is for internal use only and will not be exposed to the internet, I have one storage pool with one dataset giving full control to everyone. Why would it not be OK to just use a Media folder point Plex to it and use existing userids for access?

Yes you can do that, just add the user the data belongs to in your jail and make plex run as that user. I have it setup like that

Cool! That is going to make life considerably easier. Linux, Plex, FreeNAS and Windows should all be able to play nice together.
