Hello, I was looking for information about plex and hardware acceleration and even though I add the GPU to the app I have no way to select it to transcode, what am I doing wrong?

Your settings look correct on the App side, you need to make sure to select 'Allocate 1 nvidia.com/gpu GPU' and then within Plex, ensure that the HW enabled transcode settings are enabled. Settings -> Transcoder -> Use hardware acceleration when available.

If that isn't using the GPU, then you may need to pull the plex logs and see why it is falling back to SW.

I simply do not have the hardware acceleration option because plex, although I configure the GPU, does not use or recognize it. To test, I mounted a vm with the gpu and I had problems because the VM did not start until I restarted with the gpu isolated and I was able to assign it and the vm started correctly

That's one reason more and more of us went to Jellyfin, open source, free and no cloud dependencies whatsoever.
