Plex commercial skip

Howdy folks
I would like to start using commercial skip on my freenas Plex media server. As you are aware this is not supported on BSD, but what if I was to run A virtual machine or docker host with either Ubuntu or centOS, with Plex running in one of those OSs. With that give me the ability to use commercial skip?

I'm also interested in this. I tried implementing it last year within a jail but installing custom scripts and such but never got it working. I know there are some people that have it working within a jail. I would love to see an updated guide or someone to post their experiences.

Hi, incase anyone is interested.
I was able to get Plex commercial skip to work on a Freenas VM. I used Ubuntu server 18.4.1. to run Plex. My only problem was that the Atom 2550 processor didn't have enough oomf for proper play back with the VM running,Lots of buffering.
