Hi all,

Long story short, I was using FreeNAS and using the root account for SMB, now I've upgraded to TrueNAS that's not an option.

I've created a user called admin and made it part of the 'media' group which contains all the user accounts for Plex including the media user.

I've setup the dataset permissions as user -media and group - media and applied recursively & traverse (including ticking the 'Apply User' and 'Apply Group' tick box) although I'm still getting an error message when I try to delete a folder in the datasets that these permissions have been applied to

I'm hoping it's something really simple or is there a command I can run to give admin access as well as media as Plex still needs to be able to see and read these files? Turning SMB on for the media user isn't an option too either, I've got permissions setup on the datasets, not ACL's as they kept breaking things on FreeNAS.
