Periodic snapshots in Truenas SCALE 22.02.2

Hi Guys,

I have a weird one, i have configured DATA protection periodic snapshots on truenas scale which is configured for every day and every hour however it doesnt seem to show them all listed in the previous versions on windows 11

its been configured since the 29th of june and has shows 7 versions there should be more unless im completely wrong on how this works?

any guidance would be nice im setting it up in my home lab to see if it would be viable for when we do a storage replacement at work.

Perhaps empty snapshots are skipped in the Windows "Previous Versions" listing? Even though TrueNAS still takes an empty snapshot, they are not listed in Windows?

Since Windows doesn't "understand" ZFS and has no real access to the underlying system, my guess is that the snapshots are only accessible in the TrueNAS OS, but I have zero experience with snapshots on Windows. I've literally only used snapshots for the first time in general a few days ago....and I've been using ZFS for like 6-8 years haha.
