They are both realtek NIC's which suck.

Also it's not really the NIC but the switch that is the most common issue. Get some intel based NIC's and a switch that supports it. Or just jump to 10Gbit and be better off.

Link Aggregation doesn't just magically make everything faster it requires each device that is connecting to it that need the increased speed to also support the aggregation. It's a pain in the butt to make work correctly and if you have networking issues you will have to disable it often times to troubleshoot correctly.

Legacy PCI? You really don't want that. Especially because a typical PCI bus can barely support a single GbE connection, much less two.

Ah ya, I forgot that PCI is a parallel bus. Think I'll wait for 10 GbE copper. Thx
