Password Strength

Hello! I am very new to FreeNAS, and I want to setup the strongest password I can.

Does anyone know what the maximum length the password can be? I am using KeyPass to help me generate passwords that I hope are very secure.

I'm asking because I am at work at the moment and unable to test it. I thought if someone outright knew the information then when I get home I could skip testing. That is all.

I'm not sure why you are even replying this way when you aren't actually providing a usable response. Certainly not a good first impression on your part to a new user of the forum such as myself.

You have also to manage and trust properly certificate when connecting (https).
i.e. If you trust without check the certificate fingerprint, a strong password is useless.

The maximum user password length in FreeNAS is 128 characters.
