Owncloud external facing sharing link?

I'm still new to owncloud, and only just installed it yesterday and has been pretty straightforward so far.

One query I do have, when generating a share link it contains my internal IP. What is the process to allow a sharing link to be generated for external users to access my cloud?

you would need to port forward and access owncloud from your external IP. owncloud can tell what ip/domain you are accessing from and generates the link accordingly.

Thanks. Is there a default port number or a way I can configure the port?

http defaults to port 80 TCP, HTTPS defaults to 443 TCP. this is not specific to freenas.

you can change those settings in your apache settings. I've never use Apache/this plugin so idk.
