Being new here, I have been using Drobo NASs for a long time and am happy with them. But now that Drobo is gone, I need to have a backup solution in place prior to them dying. I was wondering if I attach the owc Mercury Elite Pro (4Bay) to my iMac can I use Truenas scale to turn the attached box into a raid unit? Or is the Truenas software an OS that must be installed on the box itself. Any assistance would be appreciated.
