Hey sb9t you should look into a HP MDS600.
Its an amazing lil array providing access to 70 Drives (35 SAS or SATA drive slots in each drawer, 2 drawers total) with a maximum of 3TB for each drive giving you a gran whooping total of 210TB of storage !!!
And with Dual Controllers, Each with Dual SAS connections will moving data in and out of the array at 3GB/S as single channel operation or 6GB/s in high I/O mode running dual link.

A bit excessive, but for the "digital age" its almost a worthy investment with the price of SATA drives these days!
As you add drives and it will automatically rebuild and redistribute data across the drives you can start out with the basics an then add as you need.
