Hello everyone,
After reading the Hardware Recommendation document, I recently purchased an Intel i350 network interface card to use in place of the onboard Realtek controller.
I installed the card and it appears to be working ok, but I suspect that it could perform better.
I was reading that the i350 is capable of Virtual Machine Device Queues (vMDQ), and I had a few questions about how this relates to TrueNAS:
1) Are vMDQs useful with TrueNAS?
2) If so, can they be used with Jails, or just Virtual Machines?
3) Would a Plex server jail benefit from any special settings for the i350?
Backgorund:
I searched the forums for "i350" but most of the posts were about problems installing the card, or just recommendations to buy it. I didn't see any posts on optimizing the i350, at least I didn't see any I understood. There were several posts about bridging and VLANs and jail.configs, but I'm not sure if they applied or not to my setup.
Thanks!
