ok, lets assume I have a zfs vdev with 11 disks, in raidz3, about 29TB
I get it to 75% fiull
So I add another 11 disk vdev to the pool, another 29TB, total 58TB
So my question is how does it fill up more?
Will it start filling the 2nd vdev until it gets to 75%, and then kind of round robin?
If I then add a third set to the pool, another 29TB, so I have an 87TB pool, will it fill that til they all get to the same 70%
Just curious because QNAP does the raid groups like these as JBOD disks in append mode. You keep filling up raid group1 until it is full, then start on raid group2. You do that with a zfs setup, the panic at 90% in the first group would kill your nas!
