what do you guys think?
its a plex server with 4 3TB WD reds making sure I can put a second array of 4 HDDs in when need arises able to run 4k trans coding and up-gradable to 10Gb Ethernet in the future.
I also want to test out some jails when I get the time so I need it to be more than just a nas and plex server.

right now I am using an old xeon with 1333mhz FSB and some trans codes i get the warning i do not have the CPU power I do not like that! but want to get some approval of the forum members so i do not fuck up this kind of money.

Has the memory been approved for that motherboard? It's two 8G, so if you need to go to 64G at some point you will have to replace it.

I have no experience with the Corsair power supplies, but the reviews of the RM550X are positive.

would you suggest a single 16gb stick over dual channel 2*8 ?

the ram is EEC non registered RAM i'm guessing it works how can i verify this?

Can't you go to the manufacture site and see if they have a list of tested memories? https://www.supermicro.com/support/resources/mem.cfm. While there check the CPU as well :)

i dont realy get the refrence if they say it needs DDR4 pc2133 and i get that type of ram im guessing its suposed to work no? never ever had anny issues

It works!! my server is up and running running 40w idle comming down from 230 and 90w peak comming down from 290
