SOLVED Offline uncorrectable sectors (changed -16)

Hello.

I have read this thread because I have similar messages with TrueNAS Scale 23.10. I have executed the command above and got the output BUT I can not see any problem there!

The message is "Device: /dev/sdc [SAT], 7 Offline uncorrectable sectors.
2023-11-05 22:01:17 (America/Sao_Paulo)"

BUT it occurs with any one of my 06 SSD drives: sda, sbd, sdd, etc.. randomly when I first boot the device.

Running commands "sudo su -" and after "smartctl -x /dev/sde" this is the output:

I know this is an old thread but I went through something similar so I wanted to share my experience.
I have a pair of pretty well worn Micron 500DC 800GB I bought used on ebay. They are rated to 1.9PB and arrived with around 1PB writes on both. They have been working fine until one of them started triggering an almost daily alert of 2 offline uncorrectable sectors found. The value has not increased and the remapped sectors stays constant so it appears the drive is stable for now but it was annoying getting that email every day. And yes, micron firmware doesn't zero out the uncorrectable count when they are remapped. I found a recommendation to use the smartd.conf option of -U 198+ which is supposed to mark this as a problem only if the count increases. On truenas it seems you cannot manually make changes to the conf file (you do but it gets removed). So alternative was to go to Storage>disks section and edit, under smart options enter the U option with slightly different format: -v 198,increasing
Two days so far and no new alerts and emails. Hopefully it sticks.
