Hi,

I have been using freeNAS a backup area for a while now (4/5 months) with no problem. This morning I got hundreds of emails like this:

(1)
bzip2: I/O or other error, bailing out. Possible reason follows.
bzip2: No space left on device
Input file = /var/log/messages.0, output file = /var/log/messages.0.bz2
bzip2: Deleting output file /var/log/messages.0.bz2, if it exists.
newsyslog: `bzip2 -f /var/log/messages.0' terminated with a non-zero status (1)

(2)
Traceback (most recent call last):
File "/usr/local/bin/graph.py", line 468, in <module>
GenerateCpuGraph()
File "/usr/local/bin/graph.py", line 189, in GenerateCpuGraph
'GPRINT:avg4:LAST:%5.2lf Last\l',
rrdtool.error: Could not save png to '/tmp/graph/cpu-1h.png'

The system totally locked up and had to be rebooted to bring it back to life.

The only link I found suggested the problem arose from upgrading with different architecture types. Which is not the case for me as I installed x64 from scratch.

This link also suggests a temporary workaround to clear the collectd DB, but not entirely sure what this does and if I should set it as a cron job or not?

Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks.
