I have a stable 9.2.1.7 install that runs great in general. However a new issue has manifested. I'm not sure when it started since I don't log into the unit that much (as its so stable lol).

I currently have btsync, transmission and plex plugins/jails installed. Now when I log into the plugins tab, nothing comes up in available. ('no entry has been found'). My configuration points to http://www.freenas.org/downloads/plugins/9/x64/pbi-meta/pbi-repo.rpo and I've tried http://download.freenas.org/plugins/9/x64/pbi-meta/pbi-repo.rpo and I'm 100% sure DNS is working as I can ping google.com and www.freenas.org etc. from command line.

The existing plugins themselves work fine so I just think its something to do with the way it grabs the list of available plugins/updates, the main pain is that now I can't easily update them like I could previously.

Default gw, DNS is definitely correct. Like I said I can resolve and ping google and freenas.org fine. I am a router guy by trade so I am sure its not a basic LAN or DNS issue. the DNS servers are my ISPs but they work, heck I can resolve and ping, and my static IP has not changed, none of the basic LAN issues facing other guys in other threads are relevant.

[root@freenas] ~# cat /etc/resolv.conf
search planetexpress.com.au
nameserver 61.9.133.193
nameserver 61.9.134.49
nameserver 192.168.0.19 !!!! THIS IS MY LOCAL AD BUT ITS IRRELEVANT IN THIS CASE
[root@freenas] ~#

!!!! Ping via DNS works great

[root@freenas] ~# ping google.com
PING google.com (74.125.237.163): 56 data bytes
64 bytes from 74.125.237.163: icmp_seq=0 ttl=53 time=26.316 ms
^C
--- google.com ping statistics ---
1 packets transmitted, 1 packets received, 0.0% packet loss
round-trip min/avg/max/stddev = 26.316/26.316/26.316/0.000 ms

[root@freenas] ~# ping www.freenas.org
PING edge.anycastcdn.net (64.120.19.11): 56 data bytes
64 bytes from 64.120.19.11: icmp_seq=0 ttl=45 time=188.632 ms
Any tips appreciated

that second one is the correct one. maybe the refresh button, but doesn't sound like you're doing anything wrong.

well I've left it on the second one, thanks for confirming.

Is it as retarded as needing a reboot (even though the settings are correct)??

well I'll never. Reboot fixed it. HA!
something I'd expect from a windows based system but hardly from a unix based OS. LOL

haha, probably just the python files needed a refresh from the webui daemon being restarted.
