This is my first FreeNAS experience but I did run FreeBSD for years. I run FreeNAS-U2 on a USB stick connected to a OVH dedicated server, I want to install plugins like couch, sickrage etc but I've noticed FreeNAS creates jails for every plugin.

Now with OVH I only have 1 public IP, so I bought 4 additional ones, configured them in FreeNAS as aliases and they are all reachable however when I add the range to the jail configuration so it can be used I get a warning no IPs are available when installing a plugin.

So what is the best approach here, any experience with running FreeNAS on a Dedi and using jails? Especially with OVH failover IPs? Or is there a more simple solution like NAT?

Thanks.

Do you have FreeNAS exposed directly to the internet? FreeNAS is not meant to be exposed directly to the internet and you're going to have new ownership of your server at some point if you do have it exposed.
