Hi,

I've just upgraded from FreeNAS 11 to TrueNAS Core 12 Beta. Everything works fine. But I found that nmbd had unusual CPU loading even when idle. Is this a bug or wrong setting?

Interesting. I don't see an obvious misconfiguration. Do you mind sending kill -6 <nmbd pid> and then sending me the core file (/var/db/system/cores/nmbd.core) via private message?

FYI, if I run `service nmbd restart`. The system actually failed to stop the daemon until I kill the job manually.

Hey,
Have a look at the Jira issue, I'm pretty sure this is relates to how many IPv4 addresses are configured on network interfaces.
Your dump shows there are 9 on your system, one for igb0 and a bunch of jails.
Could you stop at least 4 jails, restart nmbd, and see if CPU usage is normal?
Cheers
