nfs alias

I see in the release notes for RC-1 that the nfs alias functionality was removed. That caused me a few hours of pain as all of my connected machines could no longer connect. But I accept that as the price of beta testing.

Bigger question is why, wheter it will be restored, and if there's a workaround?
