I was running great until I attempted to upgrade Owncloud and a Freenas chain failed upgrade. Now have all sorts of errors and don't want to risk losing family photos. Somehow I managed to get two jails, owncloud and owncloud 2.

I can provide a Logmein account to local system so that you would have unimpeded access.

I can compensate a small amount money, or provide gift cards, pay for subsciption, etc... Let's just talk about it.

I doubt you will find anyone that will want to accept money to help you. It would be quite expensive for you, $100 per hour probably. You might be better off reading the forum rules and posting the required information. After you provide what the actual problem is people can help. I would start by making sure your backup is up to date and functional.

No one's going to see this in "Resources." Moving to new user forum.

Make a copy of all your photos and other valuable data if any, having multiple copies is much better than having no copies.

OwnCloud typically replicates to several clients, so make a snapshot on one of the clients of the data that's on there. OwnCloud doesn't *usually* do anything totally destructive but just in case...

Then do the same thing on the FreeNAS box. Make copies of all the data.

Once you've confirmed multiple copies of your data exist outside of the OwnCloud environment, you can safely blow away the jails and start fresh. Loading the content back into OwnCloud from the client you made a snapshot on is easiest.

I nearly lost my photos and videos recently due to a disk failure outside of freenas, i was close to tears as family photos are so precious. Make multiple backups on multiple devices as mentioned.

Im new to freenas myself but have been doing some hard core playing. First thing id try is to gain CLI access to your nas (not your jail) with ssh. I would navigate to the directory that the jail is installed for example 'cd /mnt/tank/jails/owncloud', i would then make a file level backup of the jail, using the unix tar command to create a file to a share, for example, tar 'cvf /mnt/tank/share1/owncloud.tar .' Navigate to that share from another home pc and copy the owncloud.tar file to the pc. You are now safe and not lost anything and you can NOW start trying to fix the jail.
