Greetings,
New to freenas.
Used quite a few Linux distros before but always ended up going back to windoze for gaming support.
Used a QNAP TS 469 pro for about a week and determined that it was too weak to transcode my videos so I returned it.
I loved the form factor but any worthwhile qnap(or even synology) NAS were way out of my price range(like $1500+).
So as an alternative I bought a Thinkserver TS 440 to use FreeNAS.
Even with the extra 16 GB RAM and HDD caddies it's 66% cheaper than the QNAP TVS-671.
Hasn't been delivered yet but I'm looking forward to this project.
