New PLEX plugin Update Stuck @ 50%

It sounds like something happened during the update. I have updated at least 3-4 times without any issues.

I seem to have a similar issue. I want to add that I had a similar issue a few weeks ago updating oC as well and ended up just reinstalling it. So now I'm thinking if this is an issue with my set up.

I'm running Plex 9.9.5.411
FreeNAS 9.2.1.2

Update stuck at 50% if I turn the plug in off then update. If I leave the plug in on, then update the following appears: "Error: umount: /mnt/Drive/jails/plexmediaserver_1/media: not a file system root directory."

that error on your 2nd attempt is due (as i've learned) to you stopping it the 1st time. it's trying to un-mount the media location (which im assuming you have mapped to a location outside of the jail) and since you cancelled it, it's in a disconnected state. reboot and try the update again and you should no longer receive that message.

as for the time it takes to update, as we've been discussing in the plex plugin announcement thread under announcements, this plugin (in the current form of the way the PBI gets updated) can take a long time (mine took 45 min) where it sits there at 50%. this is because the update process appears to be backing up the current version of the jail (including the plex database). before updating to the newer plugin. the backing up and compressing of the plex database is, from what i can tell, causing the slowness as that can take time due to the size that the database can grow to (mine's currently ~5-6GB)

Yes, check your storages and make sure you check the mount box and save. Do that for all so the update can unmount them for you to continue it's process.

Also, go to the plex jail and there's a .plugin dir and a tmp dir. You can clear them all out with the plugin stopped to get a quicker upgrade speed.

Weird. I restarted the system and Plex now shows version 9.9.7.429, it never showed updating the last 50%. I guess since the file was already there it just loaded it at boot?!
