New Mobo

I installed a new mobo. Got freenas up and running works great with the new nic. Restored database nic didn't pick up an ip address. However, I was able to setup it manually but now every time I reboot I have to manually setup the nic. Anyway to make it permanent?

Since the subject says "new mobo" are you restoring backup that was created on a different machine.

If so, and the NIC's are different, that's to be expected. After you restore the configuration, go to the console setup menu and reconfigure the network interface by selecting the correct NIC.

I did try that but I'll try it again now that I upgraded to the latest.
