Hello, everyone,

I am new to all this and I would like to do the following before proceeding:

I have an HP Pavilion dm1 with 8GB RAM, 2tb SSD with an AMD processor and I would like to add two 1TB SATA drives via USB 3.0 and run TrueNas doing a RAID 1, they think that with this hardware it would be possible to do it.

Thank you very much for your advice

...is the bare minimum RAM for any version of TrueNAS.
two 1TB SATA drives via USB 3.0
What would you do with those? The TrueNAS installation itself only needs a 16 GB device or so, and you can't use the boot device for anything else.

Laptops really are not suitable hardware for TrueNAS.

Thanks for the quick reply.

I would like to use it as a NAS at the moment, I have no intention of going any further.
In that case, what would you recommend to simply store data and be able to access it from any device?

Thanks a lot!
