First build, and not all that knowledgable with server hardware. Thank you in advance for any advice!
Use Case:
Backend storage for VMs (10+), but with initial NextCloud storage requirement for 3TB, a total initial storage requirement of 5-6TB and room to double over time.
Hardware available:
SYS-1019S-MC0T with X11SSH-CTF motherboard (Intel C236 chipset)
Intel Xeon E3-1220v6 3.0GHz CPU
16GB DDR4 1.2V 2666 ECC
1x Samsung PM883,240GB,SATA 6Gb/s,V4 TLC VNAND,2.5",7mm (boot drive)
4x Samsung PM883,1.9TB,SATA 6Gb/s,V4 TLC VNAND,2.5",7mm
I can't determine whether the PM883's have any power loss protection. Also available:
4x Seagate 2.5" HDD , 2TB, SAS3.0 12Gb/s, 7.2K RPM, 4kN, 128M cache (HDD-2A2000-ST2000NX0263)
Again, any guidance greatly appreciated!
