Hi erverybody
I'm planning to build a modest FreeNAS build, and for that i want to use an existing PC i own, doing some changes to improve it:
What i have now:
Motherboard:
http://www.tyan.com/Motherboards_S5396_S5396WA2NRF
Ram: 16gb DDR2 ECC
CPU: Dual Intel Xeon E5430 Socket 771LGA
What i plan to buy to improve and build the freeNAS server:
Case:
http://www.fractal-design.com/home/product/cases/define-series/define-xl-r2-black-pearl
HDD:
3X 8TB Seagate Archive disks in RaidZ1 : http://www.seagate.com/es/es/enterprise-storage/hard-disk-drives/archive-hdd/
SSD for install:
275gb Crucial MX300 http://www.crucial.com/usa/en/storage-ssd-mx300
PSU:
https://www.pccomponentes.com/corsair-rm750x-750w-80-plus-gold-modular
What do you think about it?
Too old hardware, or it'll be possible to use it?
Thanks
