I have a SuperMicro X7DBE+ Server with 10 x 3TB HDD's in Raidz2. I have 4 Gbit NIC's and want to get the best throughput to my network. I wanted to see if i can use load balancing or LACP and how easily i can do it.

I have Netgear GS724T 24 Port Gigabit Switch but it doesnt support LACP i think. I have some Cisco Switches 1 Cisco WS-C2948G(48 port), 1 Cisco WS-C2960-24TT-L(24 port) but both are 10/100. The C1960 has 2 Gbit uplink ports and the C2948G has 4 1000 base x ports.

My question is using what i have what should i do to get max throughput. And what settings do i use on the switch itself as well.

I have a GS724T and it does support LACP. I disabled it and chose to use 2 different IPs though because it's completely useless unless you have 10+ machines accessing simultaneously and they are collectively using more than 1Gb of bandwidth.

How do I enable it in the web interface for the switch and does it need to be set on a per port basis?
