Needed: Full Height PCI brackets for Chelsio T420-CR GbE dual port

I got 2x Chelsio T420-CR 10Gb adapters on ebay, but they only came with half-height PCI brackets. Anyone have a full height bracket they aren't using?

I'm in the same boat as you! I ended up making my own brackets from spare ones i had....

FYI - I contacted Chelsio support via email and they are sending me a couple. I had to provide a shipping label, but the brackets were free.

Uhhhh well i know what im doing tomorrow! lol What did the label cost you if you dont mind me asking, im sure it depends on state but im in PA.

I have a UPS account, and I think ground was ~$13 (going from CA to NH). If you don't get a response within a day or two from Chelsio, I'd followup. You can also PM me, and I'll give you the address I the guy who helped me.

My joy is being able to plug my SFPs in and the fiber without the card moving side to side or slightly lifting. For me it was worth it to secure the card.

That's cool, there was a time and day when more mfrs were cool like that. These days they get a little stingy if you haven't just bought the hardware new.

I contacted them about getting two brackets and they quoted a price of $25 each plus shipping. IMHO that's a whole big bunch of stingy.

ParaGuy - did you ever get the full height brackets for your cards? I just bought the same ones and I need the full height bracket. I contacted Chelsio support, but they are trying to get me to RMA the ones I have and buy the cards from them directly. I'm really hoping that I don't have to go that route. Thanks!

Yes, they sent me the full height brackets. I wouldn't want to do the RMA either, I would try and just see if they would sell me the brackets.
