Hi, I have this really weird situation that when I request to read file from my NAS via win10 or copying file from the this specific raidz2, truenas would temporally freeze. And by freezing I mean it would disappear from the network, can't connect via web portal as well. After a min or two it comes back.
It prints a lot of similar error msg on the machine runs truenas when the freeze happens:
The most weird part is that I have two storage on the NAS, one is a 6 HDD raidz2 and when reading from it truenas would freeze. But I have another single M2. Nvmw SSD and reading from it is just fine. So my current solution is to copy w/e I want from the raidz2 to the SSD and read from the SSD. And it seems that copying from the HDD to the SSD is just fine as well.
I have not a clue if this is a truenas setting that I messed up or a hardware issue. It doesn't seem to be a hard drive problem cause copying from the raidz2 to the SSD is just fine.
I have a pretty weird setup that my machine runs Linux Mint and the TrueNAS is running on the virtualBox. A weird setup I have is that my mobo only has 4 SATA plug so I have 3 of the HDD connected to the mobo, 1 SATA SSD which runs the Linux Mint and VirtualBox connected to mobo as well. The M2 SSD is directly mounted on the mobo. The rest 3 HDD is connected to a Genuine LSI 9212-4i4e 6Gbps SAS HBA P20 IT Mode Card.
I suspected the VirtualBox setting might have something to do with the problem, I use to have the 3 HDD connected to mobo under AHCI controller and 3 HDD that connects to the LSI card under LsiLogic controller, but that would frequently timeout the system with the "CAM status: Command timeout" error, so now I have all 6 HDD under LsiLogic controller and it has this weird problem.
On the mobo the PCIE card setting is set to 8x8, I have changed to 16 or 8x4x4 to test and it doesn't to affect anything. I'm running out of ideas atm, pls haaaalp ;)
