Let me preface this by saying that this is my first venture into FreeBSD, and I have limited Linux experience as well.
That being said, I've got 8.0.3 p1 installed this morning on a Dell Optiplex 740. I don't see my NIC listed during boot, and when I run ifconfig I only see the loopback. The NIC is a Broadcom 5754 and isn't explicitly listed as supported, but from my digging around should be supported by the bge(4) driver/module/whatever you call it on FreeBSD. It's mentioned in the 8.1 release notes as being fixed, but being a n00b to it I don't really know where to start or go from here. Any help you can provide will be appreciated.
