Hello!
I'm at the ordering stages of my firt NAS build ever. I have read alot of stuff and tried to learn as much as possible about the different OS's available and chosen FreeNAS for my first build.
So I figured why not ask the people from the FreeNAS community if they have any hardware knowledge to share.

Motherboard: SuperMicro X10SL7-F
CPU: Intel Xeon 1220 V3 3,1GHz Socket 1150
RAM: On SuperMicro website the only ram tested are from Hynix wich I can't get. I've read that people have used Kingston KVR1600D3E11SK4 and they seem to work.
PSU: Seasonic G-550 550W Modular.
Case: Not decided on case yet. I can't use a rack case since I cant fit a rack stand in my apartment. I want to be able to expand to 8 HDDs if needed. Suggestions are very welcome.
HDDs: 4x4TB WD Reds and an USB stick for the OS. Don't know if I should use a 2.0 or 3.0 and what size it should be.

So thats my planned build. Does this look OK or is something horribly wrong? Would love suggestions and tweaks I can make or recommendations of hardware.
