I'm planning this build for a year now and I reached the point where I'd like to start buying it's parts (except the HDDs) and testing it, poking around with FreeNAS. I read a few threads here, but still not 100% sure this is the best for my needs and budget. So please tell me if I chose something bad.

2*ADATA DashDrive UV150 16GB USB 3.0 //for FreeNAS
1*SUPERMICRO X10SLM-F //The only "cheap" Supermicro Motherboard with ECC and LGA1150 that's available here.
//(Buying server motherboards in my country is nearly impossible or costs a fortune.)
1*(INTEL Pentium G3250 3.20GHz //other candidate: INTEL Celeron G1840 2.80GHz (both LGA1150)) (Pentium was ordered.)
//I plan to use my i7-4770k's stock cooler for the CPU.
2*CRUCIAL 8GB DDR3 1600MHz CL11 ECC CT102472BB160B //this looked good to me and is very cheap
1*EVGA Power Supply 430W //I plan to add a new pool a few years later with extra RAM (~12-14 HDDs tops at it's final form with ~16-32 Gb RAM)
1*NZXT Source 210 //Big and seems well built and it's also very cheap

Later: (~January or when I get the money for it.)
6*WD Green 3/4Tb or 6*WD Red 3/4Tb drives (a matter of my budget at the point of purchase)

{Even later: (~2016 summer or 2017 summer)
6-8*WD Red 4-6Tb drives
2*8Gb ECC RAM
Might turn out to be a different build entirely, but I'd like have the opportunity to make it happen in this build too.}

I plan to put all 6 drives into RAIDZ2 and share it via NFS (read, write)(LAN access only), FTP (read, write)(this would be accessible from anywhere), CIFS (read)(LAN access only). I want to use NFS as I mainly use Linux and that would be extremely comfortable and easy to manage. I'm unsure about CIFS as I only play games on Windows, so it's not necessary, but it would be handy to have access to my Music and only store them once. I want to share my files through FTP, because this way when I'm away I'll still have access to my files and if I'd get a file (pictures, source code, etc) from someone, I could archive it instantly.
I don't plan to use any plugin or feature like deduplication.

My questions:
Is there any bad / wrong hardware choices I made?
Would the Celeron CPU be enough? //No.

Thank's for the help:
Daniel Dande

Update1: Order is placed, a few days and I'll go and get them :)
Update2: I could change the 2 CT102472BB160B to 2 CT102472BA160B (sadly CT102472BD160B-s are unavailable here for reasonable prices) and run memtest on them for ~20 hours without any problem, set the BIOS to what I want, set my router to give the same IP for it's ports and could finally test IPMI and CPU temps under load and so on and started on getting 6 3Tb WD Red drives.

At first glance, this looks reasonable to me.

@cyberjock once explained to me why the G16/G18-series Celeron would be a very inferior choice for a FreeNAS over the G32/G34-series Pentium. I don't remember what exactly he said, but whatever it was sounded like it was reasonable to me, so I filed it in my brain under "Things That Are True But I Don't Need To Know Why They Are True".

I can tell you this: I've been running a G3220 in my FreeNAS, and unless I'm building a port, I have never once seen the thing go over 5 or 10% CPU for any FreeNAS related task that I have done. If relationships among prices are anything there like here, then the price difference between a Celeron and a Pentium is nearly 0.

Must've been the tiny 2MB L3 cache. Haswell Pentiums and 41xx i3s have 3MB of L3, 43xx i3s have 4MB of L3.

Them smaller on-CPU caches are responsible for the sub-par performance. :P

Update2: My system doesn't boot :(
After initializing IPMI it stops at:
"System Initializing 15" and beeps 5 short beeps and 1 long beep.
After a bit of searching around I found that this is because of my RAM is registered.... (CT102472BB160B)
(
http://www.supermicro.com/support/faqs/faq.cfm?faq=20063
http://www.supermicro.com/support/faqs/faq.cfm?faq=17498
http://www.crucial.com/usa/en/ct102472bb160b
)
It seems that I'll have to pray that I'll be able to change it to a different model with giving this back... (Paying for a new set too would destroy my budget :( )
Can someone help me finding a compatible one?
This one seems like it would be good, but it costs 1.5 times as much :(

Most likely, I'll have to choose from these:
https://ipon.hu/webshop/group/(szer...rcMaxPrice=227000&srcWord=8gb+ddr3&advanced=0
and I can't find any that would be compatible only this:

that MIGHT be compatible :(

Sir, I want to apologize.

Your parts list looked so good that we just assumed you chose the Crucial DIMMs that we have been recommending. Had we punched up that SKU, we would have been able to tell you right away that registered RAM would not work in your board. Again, apologies. But the good news is, the reason none of us bothered to punch up the SKU you posted was because you had made such great selections everywhere else!

I know it will be a pain in the ass to return the memory and get the right ones. Especially in Hungary. Is there any chance you can get the parts shipped from Amazon or something?

I contacted the shop and if I can get my money back then I'll try amazon hopefully with a RAM copy-pasted from the RAM recommendation thread....
I checked this one's serial by eye and mistook it to CT102472BD160B......(CT102472BD160B vs CT102472BB160B)
I wanna hit myself soooo-soooo much :(
Failing by 1 letter hurts the most :(
Well, this is a lesson to learn.
At least the rest is good and I could build it.
Seeing the build in it's glory and seeing it initialize IPMI even without the RAM and HDDs still makes me smile under the tears :D :( :D :( :D ...

Wow, I completely missed the "BB" part. My brain msut've read that as BA or BD, which are the 1.5V and 1.35V UDIMMs.

See if you can find any of these:

Hynix HMT41GU7AFR8A-PB (from the QVL)

Samsung M391B1G73QH0-YK0 (from the QVL)

Micron MT18KSF1G72AZ-1G6E1 (from the QVL)

Crucial CT102472BD160B (same as Micron above)

I found RAM sticks that seems like they would work with my motherboard, but I'm not sure what are these's disadvantages?
CT102472BA160B
Do you know anything about these?
(I could buy them here unlike the CT102472BD160B, I'd need to order from Amazon UK which would cost a lot and I'm afraid if something would go wrong I'd be f*cked as I couldn't return them and if the post would break them I'd go crazy and in Hungary the post is notorious for destroying your packages :( )

BA is 1.5V, BD is 1.35V.

BD is validated by Supermicro for some boards, BA isn't (but people have used them without problems).

If others used it without problems then it itches to buy them as the BD version isn't validated by them for this model either and both should work perfectly as I know.
Also if it consumes a tiny bit more electricity, it's still much better than dealing with customer support with Amazon UK from Hungary. Also the shop that sells them is one that I never got problems with and I know I'll be able to get my money back if the parts has problems. But I still have a few days to decide, so I'll chew on it a bit more. If someone has other information about them please share it with me :)

You can also see if you can get them directly from Crucial.com. I've bought directly from them twice now and it worked well both times.
